Every year, the Capstone Design@Mines program collaborates with industry, government agencies and community organizations to host nearly 100 senior student design teams who work on real-world engineering challenges in civil, electrical, mechanical, environmental and design engineering. Capstone prepares students for the workforce by emphasizing project management skills, leadership, teamwork, human-centered design and client-consultations. We are currently looking for partners who have design-focused engineering challenges for Mines’ seniors.

Registration for Mines Fall 2022 Career Days is open! There will be two career days: one in person (Sept. 13) and one virtual (Sept. 21). There are limited booths available for each date, so please register for your preferred event as soon as possible. Please log into DiggerNet to register for these events. Mines has joined the top tier of research universities in the United States as recognized by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. In the latest Carnegie data, released earlier this month, Mines was elevated to the Research 1 (R1) classification, the highest and most prestigious designation granted to U.S. research universities.

Mines and Chevron have a strong partnership that has spanned more than 35 years. Chevron recruits from many, if not all, the engineering departments at Mines to support the company's upstream operations. Through research projects, Chevron's staff engages with students in the classroom. The company also supports a host of technical and diversity student organizations.
